  1. 22 April 2026 NRC Federal Register notice: three license amendment requests from NextEra to support reauthorizing DAEC power operations are docketed and under NRC review, with comment/hearing periods open. Class A
  2. 24 June 2026 NRC establishes an Atomic Safety and Licensing Board for the Duane Arnold license-amendment proceeding after a hearing request; amendments supporting potential reauthorization are pending NRC review. Class A
  3. 8 September 2026 DOE closed a loan of up to $1.9 billion to NextEra for the Duane Arnold restart. Financing only. No listed stage is stated; ownership and NRC approval are both still pending. Class E

On 3 April 2026 the Department of Energy wrote to NextEra about the Duane Arnold restart.

IV. How the record is kept

A record is only worth citing
if somebody keeps it.

The record updates every day

Federal dockets on one side, SEC filings and company announcements on the other. The fastest are read every three hours, the slowest once a month, so something lands on the record every day. A source that stops answering is disabled with a reason rather than quietly dropped.

Every version is kept

A DOE site revises its acquisition forecast without announcing the change. ENTEL holds what the forecast said before, what it says now, and the date it changed.

Every claim is graded

Each one carries the class of the evidence behind it, so a licensing step and a procurement notice can be read against each other.
